Live Scan is a way to take inkless fingerprints which are then digitalized and transmitted directly to the DOJ & FBI. Live Scan fingerprinting refers to both the technique and the technology used by law enforcement and private facilities to capture fingerprints electronically. The California Department of Justice only accepts live scan fingerprinting and no longer accepts fingerprints via ink and hard card. Live Scan digital submissions provide the safest and quickest way to submit and process backgrund checks. The purpose of live scan is to simplify the criminal background checks by the DOJ and/or FBI. The criminal background report is then sent to the "Requesting Agency" . Live Scan also offers Ink Cards. We are the one of the few companies that are doing Ink Cards, we take precautions and give each customer a brand new ink pad to do their fingerprints, the customer will take the ink pad with them.
