We adore our 1998 Yamaha C2 grand piano that we purchased from Steve 3 years ago in 2021. He has also tuned it for us. Price for purchase and delivery was fair, and we are so happy. A friend who is a professional jazz pianist loves our piano, too, when he visits.
Thank you Steve so much!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Donald B.Rocklin, CA02028Apr 1, 2022
We have a restored 1867 Chickering Square Grand piano - although a beautiful piece of furniture, it is also very persnickety. Needing it tuned, we were fortunate to find Steve at AAA Piano because finding someone with such a depth of knowledge of this type of piano is difficult, indeed.
Steve was amazing. He was responsive and enjoyable to work with and clearly loves his work. Not only did he tune it, that's really the easy part, but he was also able to find solutions to how others have "fixed" the piano over the decades or even centuries. Remember, parts are not readily available for a piano built at the end of the Civil War.
The piano sounds so much better, and my wife says it even plays better -- we will be calling Steve in six months or so for another tune. Considering it is a rare and delicate antique that is also played frequently, we truly feel we can entrust our prized piano to his care.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 1 - Debbie H.Folsom, CA4731Jan 12, 2023
I am a board member with Reflection MCC Church. We were moving to a new location and needed to move our 100 year old baby grand. Spoke with Steve Stokes and not only did he provide an reasonable quote for the move but also considered we are a nonprofit. Steve and his assistant showed up on time, in fact earlier to avoid rain. They very carefully dismantled, covered and turned up on its side and onto dolly. Once at the new location, they carefully reassembled and checked out everything including tuning. They found the sustaining peddle has come loose and took time to fix that and make sure all was working properly. I am so grateful for the care taken with this special member of our congregation. Thank you Steve!

The owner is an absolute jerk. Would NEVER send any business his way. His temper and manners in front of young family is shameful. Have you ever encountered him behind the wheel? Insanely aggressive. Hard pass in supporting this business.

Bought our Yamaha U3 piano from AAA piano last May of 2020. It was a pleasant experience. Steve was very responsive to all our questions. He's professional and easy to talk to. The piano we purchased is in excellent condition, looks new! My son enjoys playing in his first acoustic piano. Even after a year of purchasing it, Steve has been nice. He comes to once a year to tune the piano. He comes on time and does his job well.

Steve and his helper were AMAZING. I had a 5' Sherman Clay baby grand piano that needed to be moved and they handled it with precision. It was a difficult move out of our home but Steve and his crew worked like a well oiled machine and took great care to protect and support the piano during the move. Great communication and a fair price. I can't recommend them enough! Thank you, Steve!

Steve is great! We purchased a grand piano from him. He was able to deliver a magical piano. So happy with our purchase. The delivery of the piano was smooth and they took such care on placing the piano. Would highly recommend them.

Incredibly Disgruntled and frustrated!
I will give you a quick overview with some things you Should know. Read first and last paragraphs if you want a quick read
Services I received: AAA Moved my piano to their storage from my home, stored my piano for about a year, then moved it out of storage to my cousins home because no one was available to open facility at time my movers could pick up ... during posted business hours.
In my initial contact and service of picking up and moving grand piano to their facility the owner was kind, professional and prompt and as far as I know the cost to move my piano to their facility was fair. I paid with check upon pick up. And there was no mention of any fees other than storage. I was told I could visit my piano if I wanted. I would have left a decent review at this time.
While my piano was in storage I was frustrated as I cannot pay online, over the phone etc. only check which I did but it's not my go to and for me the management of the account is inconvenient and communication was not the same thereafter.
Roughly a week or to before I was to move I out of town I called and spoke with the owner to get an estimate on selling my piano to them. I mentioned I was going to move and trying to figure out what to do. Owner says let me look at your piano and came back to me with what I thought was absolutely unreasonable. That's ok we have a difference of opinion I decide not to sell.
I've called and text the owner not sure how much time before he gets back to me but we talk on a Thursday I let him know the movers just confirmed on Thursday they will come Saturday to pick up the piano. Even though hours online say 6-8 7 days a week I want to confirm someone will be there. First he says he is out of town. Then he asks what time that he absolutely cannot do the morning to get back to him with a window of when they will come and then via text after we hang up he will be on a plane all day. From my point of view I thought this was a business where someone was there on a daily he later says it's by appointment only and that even though my movers are coming it is going to cost about 250 just for him to move it out of the room it's stored in for my movers to get it. Long story short I was not able to get my piano I had to give it away to someone. The cost to move from the facility to that persons house may or may not have included that 250 fee to take out of their facility. It seemed more expensive than pick up if I recall.
personally felt sabotaged into leaving it behind after no one could open the facility for my movers to access, and he changed his time from an offer to buy to we are not buying at this time and the fee to move it out of the room for my movers to pick up felt off. I was not told this when they picked up. So yea I'm not happy and this is my honest feedback and review.
Key notes I wish I would have known when they picked up my piano.
1. There is not someone at the place of business daily during business hours it is appointment only. T
2. Payment is by check only and you should keep track of how much you paid and how much is due for your convenience
3. Sometimes text is more efficient
4. Apparently to pick up your piano yourself or by other movers AAA will charge you $$$ to move it out Of the room/area that it is in.
5. Write down your quotes /estimatesHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - D L.Los Angeles, CA427091Nov 12, 2021
Was in the market for a used Yamaha U1 piano. They have multiple in stock. All in fantastic condition. Made it easy. Delivery and set up was easy. Plus it helps that Steve is an easy going guy and great to work with.
